The Office of First-Year Programs plays a crucial role in supporting the transition of first year students at Lindenwood University. The Office of First-Year Programs services all students in their first year at Lindenwood. First-Year Programs helps to support students early on in their Lindenwood journey. The office provides guidance and resources to help students navigate their initial steps in college, specifically through a New Student Orientation hosted each semester. In addition, First-Year Programs houses student led initiatives such as First-Year Council, Sophomore Council, and the First-Generation Collegians student group. We recognize that transitioning to college can be overwhelming, so the First-Year Programs office organizes social events and activities to help students connect with peers. Overall, the Office of First-Year Programs provides essential resources, support, and a sense of community to help students thrive during this critical transition period.
